This position will be responsible for performing a variety of operations to include but not limited to: the forming, cutting, bending, and braking of material to form fabricated parts correctly and efficiently.
Position: Full-time
Operate most sheet metal machines such as press brake, shear, roll, and other machinery as required
Fabricate and assemble parts and product in timely manner
Use a variety of machines, hand tools, and measuring instruments to cut and form pieces to required dimensions
Verify conformance of parts to specifications
Operate forklift as needed
Operate and understand proper lifting and rigging techniques
Monitor machines at all times for proper operation
Follow all company safety and quality requirements
Perform all other duties as required by management
Education & Work Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Experience in the metal fabrication process (Preferred)
Knowledge and Skills:
Must know how to read blueprints
Receives work orders and prints and use shop calculations/math if necessary; works from complex drawings, prints, templates, and specifications
Excellent skills in Math
Knowledge in operation computerized machinery
Strong communication skills; ability to communicate and understand both written and verbal instructions in English
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ability to work well alone and with others
Ability to work safely and accurately
Physical Requirements:
Capacity to bend, sit, stand, and stoop for periods during normal job duties as required
Ability to work in a noisy environment
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection, hard-hat, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing
